Not a recent photo but I like it very much. I’ve taken it a couple of years ago in Milano just out of my office, while I was walking headed to the metro. It always reminds me a bit of “ The Kingdom of Lights” by Magritte

That's my version of it. The real saying is "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day." That's said by Tacitus.

If you like that saying, then there's another one by Herodotus: "Nobody is foolish enough to choose war when he can choose peace. During times of peace, sons bury fathers, but when there's war, fathers bury sons."
