Pizza (Italian: [ˈpittsa], Neapolitan: [ˈpittsə]) is a dish of Italian origin consisting of a usually round, flat base of leavened wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and often various other ingredients (such as anchovies, mushrooms, onions, olives, pineapple, meat, etc.), which is then baked at a high temperature, traditionally in a wood-fired oven. A small pizza is sometimes called a pizzetta. A person who makes pizza is known as a pizzaiolo.
In Italy, pizza served in formal settings, such as at a restaurant, is presented unsliced, and is eaten with the use of a knife and fork. In casual settings, however, it is cut into wedges to be eaten while held in the hand.
I never used to like this but I used to make it for the wife, I tried some left overs and now I like it. Bases are store bought. Cheap as chips. Spaghetti cheese and bacon. I'll put pineapple and a spicy sausage on my half. Just got to hear later.

I was afraid this would happen. Looking up lemon recipes, I found this. Have never made it, but it sure sounds different enough to try. You never know, so if you are looking for ways to use up lemon, this takes 3 of them. lol.

Beetroot and goats cheese is a classic combination and a few weeks ago I decided to try it on a pizza - its a very simple recipe and because there's no tomato sauce or mozzarella it makes a lovely light pizza.
Ingredients:
- enough pizza dough for one pizza (approx 28cm diameter) - a thin pizza...
Hello all, this is my 1st post on Cooking Bites!
I am on a mission perfecting the perfect pizza. This Chicken Garlic Ranch White Sauce Pizza was a 1st of its type I have cooked and it turned out pretty great! It was pretty savory and had an amazing flavor. I am still learning and I am sure...
After years of saying I hated the idea of pineapple on pizza, I'm now coming round to the idea it could work (never say never!). So as a personal challenge I'm developing a pineapple pizza recipe which I might just get to love.
I know we have a few members who like pineapple on pizza (@Mewmew...
You could of course use just one type of mushrooms here if you wish but the mixed mushrooms do look more dramatic. You could also add cheese of your choice in which case I’d put it under the mushrooms so that the mushroom shapes still stand out. I love the way the individual mustard seeds are...

In the wake of National Pizza Day, I'm once again reminded of a disconnect between what I like and what seemingly everyone else likes. When I order pizza, it's always with one topping: pepperoni. Pizza is a communal food, after all, and I can't go contaminating someone else's experience with the...
Homemade Pizza Rolls by TodayInTheKitchen posted Feb 8, 2019 at 9:01 PM

I assume this isn't an international phenomenon, but I welcome my friends from around the world to partake in this very important holiday.
In truth, it's neither a holiday - no banks will be closed, except for the fact that it's a Saturday - nor are there going to be celebrations to speak of...
My mailbox is always stuffed with menus from local restaurants. Most of them deliver. The most recent menu was from a pizza place that delivers beer and wine with your order, if you choose. An interesting item on the menu is egg Gondola pizzas. There are four varieties. The pizza dough is shaped...
I judge a pizza place by their pepperoni pizza. I like the sauce to be on the spicy side and the pepperoni to be quality. When I was in high school, there was a place that cubed the pepperoni and cut the pie into squares or close to it (the outer edges were triangular). I really liked the pizza...

Hi, I have a question. Can I do pizza dough from rice flour? I like pizza, so I would like it in new, healthy version. I would like to have the texture of a slice is soft, delicate and fine. Can I achieve this result with this kind of flour?
Today is National Pizza Day in the UK - but I think also in the USA? Anyway, will you be eating pizza today? I only just found out about this so my dinner plans have changed and I'm about to make some pizza dough.
What are you very favourite toppings?
Have any of you guys heard of or made pizza with a cauliflower crust? We've never tried it but it keeps showing up more and more in cooking shows over here.
