Homemade Sandwich Meat

I think the dislike of rats is that unlike squirrels rats and mice will set up home in our territory and attempt to eat our food. That and they are associated with carrying diseases.

I’m not weedy about nature being red in tooth n claw, I worked on the farm for a long time and that toughens anyone up.
There are mice and rats everywhere in the stacked hay bales, as I’m sure you know you can pick some up a watch them scatter in all directions. Never bothered me one bit.

But donkeys ago emptying out the garage we’d inherited a rat the size of a dog ran over my foot and it still makes me feel queasy to think about it now 😂 I can only think it’s because it was in the garage of my house and not a hay bale away from my domain.

Anyway veering back onto topic I’ve never seen squirrel meat for sale (unlike rabbit) and I suspect if it tasted good we’d all be eating it, I’d probably try squirrel and even have a go at making squirrel sandwich meat 😆

I found rabbits at Morelo's Market but they're like $18/each! 😲

How does it taste?
I’m missing making sandwich meat at the moment because I’m still working my way through the large amount of stuff from the accidental over order at Christmas!
I can’t remember the last time I had a sandwich, it seems long ago!
When someone posts a pic of one I find myself looking at it thinking Oooo a sandwich that looks nice 😂

So it's a lb. of ground chicken, about a cup of congealed chicken broth, half a tin of Pippi's leftover sausages, a handful of shredded chicken, about 1 1/2 cups of chicken/pork mini sausages, smoke flavoring, and around 3 heaping Tbsp of gochujang. I'll have a slice tomorrow for breakfast and I'll know how it is. Should have good flavor and texture. 🤞

I just had a corking one of those fleeting thought’s that totally throws you off.
I read “Pippi’s leftover sausage” and thought WHAT? You used the sausage your dog left, eww that’s gross :laugh::laugh::laugh:
