How is the corona virus affecting you?

Our government has approved a corona passport the likes of the Israeli one, meaning that those vaccinated will have more privileges than those who have not been vaccinated. This is in immediate effect.
So the young, who are last on the list for the vaccines dangling somewhere down in the abyss on the list, are now to make another sacrifice by seeing the elderly going on holidays and to clubs and bars while they are still without any stimuli at all. That is a recipe for riots with the speed vaccination is going at.

Israel is already vaccinating it's young people, at least giving them a choice. But here, nobody gets a chance to get a fast vaccination yet the vaccinated group gets more privileges. How is that right?

It is not right. I get the point of a covid passport for International travel as an alternative to testing, but domestically it is just discriminatory. The idea was squashed in Britain very quickly and the "we're all in this together" unity is still fairly strong - easy of course when there is a firm roadmap to reopening, and a vaccination programme that is galloping along.
I take it there will be protests on the streets over this.
 
Heard a new conspiracy theory today, that the vaccine will "dry out your veins!"

I haven't heard that one before and googling it doesn't come up with anything, so maybe it's brand new. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I read about a newest Covid virus variation,forgot which country it originated from, but got anxious .
 
Hubby got a text from the GP on Monday and is having his vaccine first thing tomorrow morning :thumbsup: It seems pretty appropriate that he's having it in the small local hospital where he was born :happy:

With all the good news recently around vaccine progress I was starting to get excited that maybe mine would be soon too, but following yesterday's news it seems I've got a good few weeks yet to wait :cry:
 
We are supposed to be getting covid-19 vaccine shots in our building. Notices were sent out mentioning the possibility, but nothing else has happened. No date has been set. Heard yesterday that it may be in a week's time.

Also, sadly heard that a few people in the building have died!! How damn many more innocent victims have to die before vaccine shots are giving out?!! Crazy & ridiculous!! :mad:

My caregiver called to get on the waiting list today. They told her that they only get 2K vaccines a month and the list is very long. They didn't have an estimate on how long it would take.
