How is the corona virus affecting you?

I can't see myself wearing my mask when I am alone in my car.

BTW, my car has a HEPA cabin filter (Bosch). I got it for allergies, but they are pretty effective against viruses. Not 100-percent, but close. If I use the recirculating mode on my HVAC, the cabin will be pretty safe against Covid.

exactly! it looks weird to see people alone in their car wearing a face mask, but ok, have to give it at least a question...wow, the filter sounds amazing...

I've also tried to drink from a cup of tea while wearing a mask.
Amazing...when it was colder outside, my glasses would get fogged up and that is something that disturbs my walking, as I feel unsecure where I am stepping, so kind of get the over the glasses look, like a true teacher :roflmao:...but now with the milder weather it is easier...If it protects me, I will wear it...

I tried all the things to fix the fogging glasses, and the only thing I found that works reliably is to use a few inches of medical tape and tape down the top edge of my mask. Problem solved. 🤓

Almost all cars today have cabin filters. The HEPA versions are not much more expensive than the regular filters. You can find them online.

I haven't always taken the face mask off if the next stop is a quarter or half a mile away. It is not paranoia, it is just that I can't be bothered.

I generally can't wait to get my mask off. I take it off once I'm in the parking lot and away from other people. The exception is in cold, windy weather. The mask keeps that part of my face warmer. But, I still lose it when I'm in the car.

I only wear a mask when strictly necessary. People with asthma like me are officially exempt, but we have to prove we are exempt everywhere by showing our meds and private medical data. I won't do that for a store clerk or someone else I can't trust with my details, and a lot of people like me are still refused because we look too young to be ill 😐

So in order to avoid discussions and problems, I wear my mask even though it makes my asthma symptoms worse. I just don't go anywhere I need them very often, my husband does most of the required shopping and other occasions where we need a mask.
I don't particularly like the idea of a vaccine passport, but I'll be happy when I can use that to avoid discussions.

My sister has asthma, and she is an RN. She has to wear a mask most of the day, and when doing Covid tests, has to wear an N-95 mask. She has been fully vaccinated since the second week in January (first responder), but still has to wear a mask when dealing with patients. Obviously, she doesn't like it, but she's gotten used to it. The mask reduces airflow, but the air is clean, so it doesn't inflame her asthma.

Well that's great for your sister, that her asthma is under control.

But I've been constantly out of breath for 2 years with everything I do, and I don't have a treatment plan that works currently because I've only been diagnosed in December and what works for me still needs to be figured out. So masks are very uncomfortable.

No case of Asthma is the same.
