If its anything like IKEA in the UK that is a major experience requiring dedication and perseverance. Add COVID restrictions to that and I think I'd rather stay at home. Do they sell those famous Swedish meatballs in your IKEA?
My pet name for IKEA is Irritating Kids in Every Aisle - weekends, you can't go near the place.

I'm hoping being a weekday that I'll be calmer, and they do sell the meatballs here.

They are basically the same as IKEA stores in Europe. They may be larger here, since land is more available and cheaper. We have one here in Frisco, and it is huge. However, when you cross the the East/West highway on the North/South tollway, you can see the roof from the overpass. It is covered with solar panels. There goal is to get to a point (as technology advances) where they get 100-percent of their electricity from solar.

Like TR said, weekends are not the time to go to IKEA. It is a destination shopping experience. People drive for hours on the weekends to experience IKEA. I go on weekdays, and it is a lot better.

The number one source if sales tax in Frisco, Texas is IKEA. Number two WAS the Apple Store, but they were recently forced to close to settle some kind of lawsuit.

IKEA was fun, I really like looking through their kitchens. I wonder if their appliances are any good?

The restaurant was closed, but the bistro was open, though the seating area was closed. They're just getting their Christmas stuff out, so I'll be back later to get some odds and ends for MrsT's Christmas stocking.

I had an Ikea stovetop that worked really well, it was really fast and I think it was one of the cheapest models (the person who did the kitchen remodeling went cheap in everything).

I plan to go and vote this afternoon, and may go to IKEA after voting. Alll of my dishes and tableware is from IKEA. I need to get some additional knives, forks and spoons.

When you see one of my food photos done on a simple white plate, that is an IKEA 365 plate.

Almost all of the furniture I ever bought is from IKEA, not because I love it but because it's the cheapest. I used not to like white furniture but made myself get used to it because white furniture is usually cheapest in IKEA, it does look good when it's against color, white on white is boring! I prefer sturdy wood, as long as it's not dark. Absolutely love honey pine furniture. My favorite bookshelves are the ones I brought from my parents house, both of them are real wood. One of them is honey pine and is so beautiful!

I designed this tiny kitchen for my youngest two years ago using just IKEA cabinets and appliances. IKEA kitchens are considered quite ok here: they're affordable but sturdy in terms of the framework or "skeleton". The fridge and freezer are situated on the floor next to each other which is ergonomically insane but I wanted to keep the upper cabinets light. When you're young, you don't mind if you have to bend over, methinks... Well, at least mini-Hemulen hasn't complained.

I'm going to bake a cake today - and maybe something else, too. Hubby is on his autumn leave (= a week on the couch). I can hear meditative sounds of soccer (commentary) from the living room :).

Most of my furniture is antique -- family heirlooms. I like to mix in simple, contemporary items, because they don't steal attention from the antiques. The IKEA stuff is usually smaller items, like corner tables. But, I also have an IKEA stand for my TV and center speaker in my home theater. That doesn't steal attention away from the TV screen. All my IKEA furnishings are black.

My home photo studio has a black rolling IKEA shelf unit, and black Craftsman tool cabinet.
