In the US, it's slang with certain people just to call any home a "crib". I never have, for the record.

Stay in the water! I am also betting that they are seasonal, just try to figure out which season they are not around. I bet you can "giggle" it, LOL!

I know the coast very well. That area is for the hardy. My mate wants to go there with me and use the batch/bach/crib.
I've been bitten while stopping for a leak over there !!!

Plans today:

I've three recipes for the recipe challenge to write up. I really should write them shortly after making them...

Otherwise not a lot to do:
Go to chemist to pick up medication -my usual thyroxine (done)
Make sardine and egg salad for partner's lunch (done)
Sit in the garden in the sun for 30 mins to top up the tan and get Vitamin D infusion (done)
Make ratatouille for tomorrow to go with pan-fried cod. It sits well overnight.

Took Psycho-Poodle to the veterinary diagnostic doc today. Ka-chiing -- there goes a thousand bucks. Add that to the $350 I spent on him yesterday at his regular vet.

He has a large mass on his bladder. I should know tomorrow whether it is benign or malignant.

CD

Well, the news is bad. The mass is cancer. There are no good treatment options.

He is not in pain now, but that will change, and he'll have to be put down. I've done it before, so I know what is coming.

For now, I'll just spoil him even more than he's already spoiled.

Oh that is so sad, I am so deeply sorry to hear this. I haven't had a dog since we had to put Bear down in 2003. I know how hard it is.

Lots of good belly scratches.

So very sorry. I went through this with poor Sega in 2020. He wasn't even 4 years old. He wasted away with kidney disease.

Sorry about Sega. He was so young. Teddy is 10YO (will be 11 on September 11 -- maybe).

CD

10 dog years is supposed to 70 in human years. Since I'm 70 it seems far too young. But he has had a good life with you I think. The main thing is that he isn't suffering at the moment. I think we left it too long with Sega.

I'm just broken-hearted reading this. I'm sorry for what you and Teddy have to go through. Young, old, regardless of the circumstances, it's never the right time or a "better" time. It's always crap. Always. Wish I could buy you a beer.

Treat him right, feed him some steak and bacon and ice cream, give him a lot of love, and make sure you're taking care of yourself, too.
