Plans for today (2023)

I finally got back on a horse today, yaaaaay!

It’s just over 3 months since I broke my hand falling off the same horse. I basically bugged my physiotherapist until she said “it’s up to you”. I just couldn’t wait anymore.

It went really well, horsey was a good boy and I was actually able to do more with my hand than I expected. Yay!

Next follow up with the doc’s on Monday.

Plans today will be a choice:

1. Much needed yard work
2. Hot and heavy on the Christmas decorations
3. Trip to international market

🤷🏼

It’s shaping up that we’re heading to the international market (I need some mace, which is pretty much unheard of here), and there’s an ALDI next door…
NOOOOOOOO 😆

I seriously could‘nt handle that! Maybe once a month I’ll wander into a supermarket. I like foodie places but stack it high sell it cheap supermarkets aren’t a barrel of laughs are they!

I actually like ALDI quite a bit, mainly for all their chocolates and cookies/biscuits and crackers, but I think I’ve been in one six times in the last three days…it’s a bit much.

Just a thought but perhaps Mrs Tasty is suffering from the strange British affliction of going shopping for a bargain?
A friend of mine from Denmark observed that British people will go shopping for nothing in-particular, she said “they go shopping to look for a bargain, how is it a bargain if you didn’t need or want it before you left?”

I had nothing to offer in response apart from I don’t know, we‘re mad 😆

🕵️‍♀️- I think you’ve cracked the case!

Just a bit! I don’t dislike Aldi, just trolling round supermarkets full stop!
Now, on that mark, we’re different - I can wander around a supermarket for days…I just want it to be different supermarkets!

Yesterday, I was in two ALDI’s, a Kroger (think Tesco), and a Dorothy Lane Market (think….Partridge’s?…only bigger, but not as big as Tesco), and today, the international market (think the entire city of Milton Keynes  )…and ALDI.

I like to do a good supermarket recce, noting who sells what that the others don’t and I love trying out different brands and comparing them (I recently bought 8 different pats of butter for a side by side tasting 😆) but I never leave a supermarket without feeling drained and suffering from till shock 😂

Good exercise though!

Ahhh, food shopping on a Sunday. What a wonderful way to spend the day of rest.

Unfortunately spent most of the day sleeping off a migraine again - same happened last Sunday too. It’s annoying because besides the headache, I also get really nauseous and I can’t really eat anything or even drink much until evening time when I’ve got one of these.

My doc prescribed me some medicine which has helped in the past (so I get over it by noon instead of 6 pm), but it hasn’t worked the last couple times. Ugh.

Feels extremely similar to being hungover, except the only thing I drank yesterday was water…

My ex-wife got those. All the same symptoms. She had some pills for mild ones, and shots for bad ones. A couple of times, I had to take her to the ER.
