Plans for today (2025)

First stage of moves done - before the pic I'll answer the obvious question first ...
... why this many screens?
answer: because if I added many more it would start getting ridiculous!
(long answer 1) tv, 2) large screen on laptop, 3) large screen can easily be plugged to laptop so that as necessary I can crash on sofa using wireless keyboard/mouse, 4) smaller monitor attached to old pc (will be decommissioning that pc))
These pics are before moving sofa's etc
One small sideboard will go to the left of entry door and a small cabinet to the right near the window. A corner tv unit will go under tv by the chimney breast.

After 1st big rearrangement ...
a second small sideboard will go to the side of my office chair by the lamp (see pic above) - I'll rearrange all the computer bits then and move the smaller sofa a bit closer to the wall.
The larger sofa is only roughly placed atm - I need room for the delivery guys to drop one small sideboard near my desk (prob need to slide it a bit closer to tv tonight or in the morning)

I just had a text, my delivery slot is 7am - 11 am tomorrow 
that is the worst slot for me. If I go to bed too early I won't sleep, and there is a good chance I'll sleep badly knowing someone may be knocking the door at 7am.
The text said they may call 1 hour beforehand to confirm. lol, good luck to them with that - I'm unlikely to set my alarm any earlier than 6:45

I need to find a new organic shop. My one yesterday is gone. Kaput.
And a gasket for my honky hangi as the place I went to yesterday didnt have 1 despite advertising they did. I know another place I can try. So that's this afternoon? Prolly pick up a takeaway while out.. it's only 11 an here atm.

ty, I had 3 walls knocked down to make it. it was a good call tho, the hall / stairs / upstairs landing all lacked any natural light so were rather grim.Nice space
A previous owner built an extension on the kitchen and made them one, so the kitchen is as wide as the main room, and about half the length.
The house is long front to back, but narrow side to side. If a stranger walks in they get hit by the 'tardis effect', you can see the 'oooh' on their face at the unexpected space

Tomorrow I'll be studying, again.
I've got a group project that the member who was providing the project left the course on Wednesday and we've got to try to pick up and get sorted. We've all done a fair amount of research into the industry in question (any mariners here?) and as such changing projects isn't really an option. So tomorrow is likely to be just the project assignment and lots of reading. It's almost all I did today, I think it will be all I do tomorrow. Inked the workshop for hacking gets released overnight.

Picked up a head cold so not doing much. Minor stuffy nose and sneezing but I've felt worse. Actually I've had worse hayfever symptoms before so I suppose I'll be alright.

Hope the head cold clears fast.
Did you use your magic wand? The cabinets arrived about 8am. I decided I may as well unpack immediately cos the delivery guys clearly could not read (see pics).
Once unpacked I figured fold the cardboard and put it out as the recycling people were due. Those plans were foiled - apparently it needs to be broken down smaller or they can't take it. So that's me with 4 large boxes hanging around and a box breaking task to complete before next friday.
