Please help...we need more threads!

The idea of it being time limited was to give it focus and keep it on page one. A mod decision at the end of the day.
Closing it down though also won't keep it on page 1. It will just drop off it faster. Threads only stay on page 1 by being active, unless you're referring to the home page and the features threads which we manage separately.

We can play it by ear. In some ways being able to continue the next month or at least update it with what you did last month is useful and allowing it to remain open allows for questions regarding content there.

This is what I have been putting in the first post:

“This is not a contest. There is no judging. It is just a place to share ideas and recipes. This thread has no time limit, so you can add recipes and ideas whenever you like.”

I didn’t want to make it a monthly thing. Just threads where people can keep adding recipes. Also to ask questions or ask for advice. Someplace to go for inspiration to be adventurous and try something new.
I thought it would bring more traffic to the site. Because the threads will hopefully continue to build and stay active.

Does any of that make sense?

It makes sense.

I don't want to hijack your idea, so I'll ask you to create the threads. Could we have some seasonal ones please?

I'm thinking recipes, tips and tricks for... also shortcuts or cost saving measures... or just time saving tricks, planning...
  • Thanksgiving turkey
  • Roasted potatoes
  • US Gravy over turkey(?)
  • Glazed carrots
  • UK gravy for Christmas
  • Mince pies
  • non-fruit alternative such as a chocolate Yule log
  • Trifle?
  • ?
That sort of thing along with maybe an alternatives idea thread?
