Poorly food for poorly people. What you eat when feel unwell?

I'd have to toast mine or it's homemade.
You would probably be hung, drawn and quartered if you ever made a toasted bread cucumber sandwich. If they commuted your sentence, then you'd be locked in a dungeon and made to listen to the PM for 24 hours a day. :hyper: :hyper:
British tea sandwiches are as sacred as the Turin shroud. White bread, butter, English cucumber (sliced thinly) a little salt, a touch of white pepper. Absolutely no toast.:D:D

Since I am not British I can side with Barriehie :)
Toast or even preferable sourdough toast
That iffy white bread is an abomination and unfortunately popular here (ex Brit colony?

But that same iffy white bread is good when you have a poorly stomach
You can but joining someone in supporting the idea of a toasted cucumber sandwich is likely to get you dungeon time too! 😆

Do we get toasted bread in jail?
Yes but soft and slightly wet where hundreds of slices were made and stacked together and hour ago, there's also little chance of experiencing a cucumber sandwich, maybe if you're good a sandwich with some of that jarred meat paste that smells like dog food that old people still buy.

Hah, I'm German. 👏

I generally use left over rice (Jasmine) and some left over chicken or curry and keep adding water till I like the consistency.
I only start from scratch occasionally.

I've used this concept as well for a Thai red butternut curry that came out far too hot, but made an awesome congee

I’m another one here who eats toast, tea, and chicken soup when I’m sick. It’s the only time I want the powdered Lipton chicken soup. No idea why, but that’s what I crave - served in a mug.

When husband is sick, he also wants chicken soup - but the homemade kind. And furthermore, it has to have celery root in it - so I need to go out and find celery root! I usually need to try a couple stores before I can find it.
