It dawned on me that I never show you my plate, just DH's ... American-style scrambled eggs with Chives added, BACON and Raisin Cinnamon Swirl Toast for Moi, Rye for DH
No pics, but there’s an excellent diner just a few minutes from the hotel - we ate there for breakfast yesterday - MrsT had two over-medium eggs, crispy corned beef hash, crispy hash browns, and toast.
I had a veggie omelet (hold the mushrooms), and a half-order of biscuits-and-gravy. Both were excellent, and the service was great (our waitress was a real delight), and each meal came in under $8 - amazing.
Even the coffee was top-notch. Going back tomorrow.

Today…we had a little something to hold us over, as we’re having a late breakfast egg casserole thingy at our hosts’ house, but MrsT is committed to using the hotel breakfast pancake conveyor whenever she sees one, so she had that. I had some reconstituted scrambled eggs and a bit of kielbasa. Not as bad as it sounds, actually.

We had relatively light breakfasts, half an English muffin each plus scrambled eggs and ham, which was shared with the pugs.

Decades of leaving the house way to early to even consider breakfast, spelled dirty dishes, makes it an uncommon habit. Now that I'm semi-retired I can have it!
That looks like a perfectly poached egg. All that's missing is the 'egg bleed' shot!
