I never use syrup anymore either, I love them with honey! I really don't care for maple syrup and many other syrups are just flavored sugar water over here. I am probably going to make banana pancakes tomorrow topped with fresh papaya and honey, yum!Mini pancakes with honey. I don't eat breakfast but I made them for my partner:

These are cooked in water (which is not my preference), then after cooking, a mashed banana gets stirred in, with a very small amount of milk, sugar, vanilla, and butter.
They’re supposed to get a sprinkle of walnuts on top, but we don’t like nuts on things like that, so a few slices of banana instead, and served in a pretty yellow bowl on a brown-edged plate, to reflect the state the banana was in when I mashed it (is that thinking artistically or what? ).

Well you had me at half-and-half and TBSPs of brown sugar, and lost me with the maple syrup and raisins!
