Yeah, since the power was out for just a couple of hours. :)

It was a rather long, painful breakfast, as they were woefully understaffed, so even though there were two booths open when we arrived, we waited…and waited…and waited…and waited some more until someone was able to clean one off.

Also, the service was just as slow, and MrsT got, and nearly finished, her eggs and potatoes before my waffle and bacon came out, she brought water but no straws, brought my waffle, but no syrup, etc.

Very unusual for WH, as quick service is one of their hallmarks, but it was a busy Sunday morning and there were exactly…three people working.

I think every restaurant these days is required to have two signs up. One says, “Please be patient with our employees, as we’re critically short-staffed at this time,” and another one that says, “WE’RE HIRING!!!”
Well I am glad it was tasty, but I would never return after that experience even with a staff shortage 😮

Breakfast burritos made in the air fryer:

So-so.

Breakfast burritos in general, they're an unknown food here.
They’re dead easy to do - a little scrambled egg, a little breakfast-appropriate meat, a little potato, a little cheese, a little salsa, wrap it all up and you’re done.

Five days a week for the 18 months we lived in San Antonio, I ate them virtually every morning, because locals would sell them just outside my office, made at home and stored in big camping coolers, for a buck each.

We like steak in ours but occasionally we use bacon, and rarely salsa. I know salsa is typical but we don't like it with eggs. Hot sauce is ok if I'm not using hot peppers in the filling.
