Banana pancakes topped with strawberries, blackberries, toasted macadamia nuts and honey.

They’re dead easy to do - a little scrambled egg, a little breakfast-appropriate meat, a little potato, a little cheese, a little salsa, wrap it all up and you’re done.

Five days a week for the 18 months we lived in San Antonio, I ate them virtually every morning, because locals would sell them just outside my office, made at home and stored in big camping coolers, for a buck each.

Leave out the wrap and I'd be happy enough. I'm not keen on all this wrapped up in flatbread stuff.

Well it's portable and it's a great vehicle to shove food in one's mouth when in a hurry to get somewhere (which I know you are not), and that has great appeal for many people. And it's lower carbs since their isn't a bunch of bread, plus with an egg sandwich the fillings can fall out easily but in the wrap they are more secure. So it's a great substitute for an egg sandwich (which I know you aren't keen on as well) minus the mayonnaise (which you also don't like, LOL). But how would you feel about some yoghurt, lightly scrambled eggs, good aged cheddar, and streaky bacon pieces inside? Maybe add some hot sauce or sauteed hot peppers?

It’s funny, the only time I like tortillas in when I’m having some kind of burrito. I abhor something like a “turkey wrap” or whatever.

I think it’s because I like things to stay where they belong, mainly. Don’t eat breakfast foods at night, don’t put pineapple on pizza, don’t use tortillas for lunchmeat sandwiches, that sort of thing.

Another thing…I don’t like burritos flash-grilled/fried on the outside, which at some point became the norm around here. I want my tortillas as I’ve always had them…warmed, and kind of steamy and gummy from the hot innards.

My kids (and I liked it as well) LOVED breakfast foods at night. I haven't done that since the youngest moved out 10 years ago. My dad did it for us when we were kids, too...

Didn't I see you make MrsT some sort of dinner-breakfast about a week ago?

A fried burrito is called a chimichanga. Yeah, a burrito is a burrito. And no turkey wraps for me, either.

My stepson loves Hawaiian pizza (which I'd bet many people in Hawaii don't eat--okay maybe they do Spam and pineapple, I've no idea). I can't stand it. The idea of ham and pineapple mixed with tomato sauce is revolting. I have no idea why he likes it, his tastes are vastly different from the rest of us. He used to eat carrots and ketchup when he was a kid. SMH.

Yes, and I feel dirty and ashamed every time that happens.

That time, though, was because I had a particular recipe in mind, and it got pushed back three or four times and I had to get it made. It wouldn’t have kept until morning.

I can eat breakfast ANY time of day or night. :hungry:

YUM! (well, except for the Tomatoes)
When we make our annual trek to Southern Arizona, I always go in to one of my favorite high-end supermarkets.
Their meat counter makes their own Sausages.
I bought 12.
These are what they call British Bangers, LOVE THEM!
I will be rationing them better this year :giggle:

Ya' know, beer is not just for breakfast, you can drink it anytime.

Well the problem was I didn't end up eating lunch either, then had 3 very strong beers around 5 pm on a mostly empty stomach (couple of chips snd guacamole is all I ate before that). I ate way too fast when we came back to my daughter's and finally ate dinner around 7. I had few more beers then ended up drinking water the rest of the night.
