Show us your breakfast (2025)

Yep. It probably is. But then I'm known to eat left over pizza, samosas and pakoras for breakfast, too!
I do this....
And I can't eat first thing in the morning either.
So breakfast is brunch and very similar to dinner.
At times I eat the full English breakfast for dinner :)

Weekdays, I eat an hour after getting up (mug of tea first). Weekends, it’s more like 2 hours, but then, all I have weekdays is a bowl of cereal, and weekends is always cooked.

I also save non-breakfast leftovers (when we have them) for non-breakfast meals the next day.

I'm the brunch kinda gal too.
I just can't take food when I wake up for maybe 3-4 hours later.
I owe this to my mother! Us kids had to be up, dressed and out the door by 530am, which meant that Mom insisted that we have breakfast at like 430-5am - :yuck:that didn't work for me! I begged to just have a piece of toast to take with me on the school bus, NOPE!
And then the stuff she gave us  cold leftover white rice drowning in cold milk and sugar :stop: or what I come to find out now is Milk Toast 🤢 While I was growing up, milk was a big deal. Everyone made sure that we all got at least 3 servings a day - I think looking back as an adult, I'm lactose intolerant, that's why that much milk it wouldn't stay down.
There's was a time when milk was not available in Hawaii, so Mom got POWDERED MILK ___ ACK!!! ☠️
So today, I eat what I want, when I want, I don't care that my husband thinks that I'm weird and eat strange things for what he calls breakfast... it's a meal, period.

Totally with you on breakfast, never when I get up .. always after 2-3 hours minimum.
Breakfast is the breaking of your overnight fast ... so whenever you first eat, that's your breakfast
My breakfast was a homemade blueberry muffin plus a chocolate and almond biscuit

Yes!

I usually eat something 1-2 hours after getting up, sometimes a bit longer, though i do have sweet tea or iced coffee on getting up. Craig eats whenever, sometimes right after he's up, sometimes an hour or so, especially if he's eating leftovers or deli stuff. If we have to go out for errands, we don't eat until we are done and ready to head home.

He made sausage gravy for us this morning. I put canned biscuits in the oven. Craig went back for seconds, so I think he had 3 biscuits and gravy. I like just a biscuit with butter so had 1 plus 1 biscuit with gravy.

ETA: He's passed out now from all that heavy food.
