The CookingBites recipe challenge: non-sparkling alcohol

I will not be getting to that chicken dish tonight - it’ll have to be tomorrow. I’ve been outside the last couple of hours and now I’m hot, tired, and cranky.

This is a lovely Cake anytime, but I dolled this one up for the Christmas Buffet.
It was gone in a heart beat!
 
Here, flannel refers to a cotton fabric, usually brushed, a little heavier than usual, and incredibly soft and warm - used to make shirts, pajamas, and neck scarves mainly.
I recently bought a pair of flannel pants (although they aren’t plaid, just plain grey), and they are ridiculously comfy.

I used to have some flannel-lined jeans…I loved those.

Irish coffees…I might enter those.
 
When I played cricket in England, the white trousers were known as flannels. A particular type of cloth, if I recall!
 
Winter is made for a nice hot drink, and here’s a standard:

Recipe - Irish Coffee

Irish coffee can be as simple as whiskey and coffee, or an elaborate affair, with multiple alcohols and fancy presentation…this one is in the middle, with whiskey and Baileys for the alcohols, and a little dollop (or spray, in my case) of whipped cream.

It’s about the only time I can tolerate sugar in coffee.
