Come on @welsh dragon, now's your chance. Two sitting on the fence at present. Waiting to see what others post.
I'm working on something. Can't try it out until I buy some carrots and another secret ingredient. I'm in someone else's house for a week so they will be acting as guinea-pig for carroty creations!

@SatNavSaysStraightOn , does @welsh dragon's carrot cake count as a submission? I thought it had to be typed out and posted as a recipe - I'm asking because I didn't coulr the one @welsh dragon posted for the aubergine challenge, as I thought it didn't meet the criteria. If it does, then I'm REALY sorry @welsh dragon!
No not really. It should be copied out (as in copy and pasted) and referenced accordingly (acknowledgment of site it comes from with a link back to them. A screenshot of another website is not really in the spirit of things tbh :(. Plus its not in on the site as a recipe which is what the challenge is about.

Ah well, at least @welsh dragon is trying to enter. Where is everyone else? I know there is a thingy at the top with The Cooking Recipe Challenge link - but it shows a bit of your original post, which isn't really an invitation to enter. Is it possible to just Head line the Challenge, the ingredient and the deadline at the top of the page somehow? I get the impression (I might be wrong) that most people haven't quite realised what is going on!

I'm not sure I understand you.
Are you eating too edit the entry on the first post? The title? Or the actual wording on the featured thread?

And if you have any suggestions...

I could start a new thread each time there is a new challenge and feature that with the ingredient, deadline and a link to the first post on the new judge starting the new challenge... That would then get featured instead of this. Else there is the option for me to edit the actual wording that shows in the featured thread entry.... I'll think on it.
