Another recipe that had caught my eye...

Spicy orange salad

Well thanks to all of you who contributed entries to the cooking bites recipe challenge this time around. Although we did not have many competitors, we did have quite a few entries.

I must say I was impressed with most of the entries I saw. Most of them were original. However, the winning entry was a toss up between the two cakes containing orange. I have always been a lover of orange cake. Consequently, I liked the recipes which were submitted by both Classic and Shaun. Shaun's Citrus Ginger Cake with Spiced Orange Compote would make a lovely dessert alongside ice cream. I also like the fact that it contains ginger would have given this recipe an extra boost. However, I have chosen Classic to be the winner of this challenge with his Orange Drizzle Loaf Cake. I like the looks of this cake and I also like the ingredients, mainly the fact that it contains almonds. This recipe does not seem like a hard one to follow either.

So, it's over to you Classic, to choose the next ingredient for the challenge.

I feel terrible that I did not get at least one entry in. I most certainly should have supported my home girl. Please accept my apologies. I honestly thought I had a little more time. Congrats @classic33......onions??!?!?!?

Truth be told, I can't function without them so at least it's not one of those things I have to report on not finding around here. It just means I'll have to explore recipes where it dominates correct? I saw the thread and then just like that I found something on Pinterest that would qualify.I'll wait around before I get going. Just feel awful I missed a Challenge.:(

Yes, winterybella, I definitely missed an entry from you for the last challenge. However, you are forgiven. Time flies quickly and before you know it, the time for the entries is up, so try to get them in early next time around. Well the next ingredient for the challenge should not be a hard one, although when I first saw it a question mark popped into my mind as well.

I didn't think parsnip would be a hard one either. But it's not readily available in places. As a weed in North America was a suprise.
