isn't she the one who holds up her bowl or plate and solemnly says, "Might I have some more, please sir?"MrsT asked me if I was going out to beg for pennies or sweep chimneys: "Give us tuppence, guv'nah!"

I have heated seats in my car and I'm the only one allowed to park in the garage. My efforts shopping involve a click on my mouse and a click to pop the trunk when I get to the store!
The thing is, up here if you wear thermals and such then are in the store for 20+ minutes, you're sweating profusely because the heat is up high in the stores. Layered outerwear is a good idea, but still, where to put all the layers while shopping? Modern day problems.
Snort. Texas boy who skied a few times knows anything about up-to-date winter wear.I said "high tech." Nobody up to date on winter garments wears "thermals" anymore.

You don't live in Ohio.
Winter Thermals | Thermal Base Layers | Hot Chillys
Hmm, that looks like Cleveland. I don't live in Cleveland.
I have to wear the Chillys or my outer clothes don't fit right.I was wearing my thermals today - very lo-tech cotton ones.
My only issue was the little bit of exposed skin on my face. That was the clincher. I could have made it if it weren't for that.
Cars do not stay outside in my household -- except my work trucks in the past. Both of my cars are in the garage. Most of my neighbor's and friend's cars are outside, because their garages are full of crap. Sure, fill the garage with old furniture, Christmas decorations, and junk from Walmart, and park the new BMW outside. Makes sense.

When we lived in the UK, I drove a Jeep Pioneer, which was a mid-sized open bed pickup truck, brought over from the US. Not oversized by any means, not 4WD, so no lift kit on it or anything, and shortly after we arrived, we bought my wife a new Volvo 240, 4-door sedan.Sadly my vehicle won't actually fit through the garage doors!
Growing up, we never locked the house, even on vacation, and car keys were always in the car (in the ignition, no less). I can remember it like one of those turning points, after leaving home and coming back for a visit and realizing that my parents were locking the house even when they just went into town for a couple of hours, and they were bringing their car keys into the house. Changing times...Tbh, it is all I can do to get him to remember to bring the car keys in from the car. Theft isn't an issue where we live. Probably a good thing given we never actually lock the house unless we are away from home for more than a couple of nights
