caseydog and ElizabethB , my Mom is very obviously in the early stages of dementia (mentally) and has fallen a few time, at least that I know of. Where she is now, they offer a sort of in-between of Assisted Living to compliment Independent Living, where an outside, state certified company can come in and help with whatever that elder needs on that given day.
I haven't pulled the trigger on that one yet, but she has a rider policy on her insurance that can help cover those costs for her.

That's basically what my Dad is going to need, for now. I don't know what insurance will cover, but cost is not a problem for him. It is motivation.

My dad fell again today, twice. He went to the ER both times. He has been admitted tonight.

I'm up right now trying to book a flight to Houston, and the AA website is messed up. It is not showing any flights today (or any other day) from Dallas to Houston. They have at least 20 flights a day for that route. Their phone reservations line keeps sending me a link to book online, and tells me, "To hang up, press 9."

Oh dear, that's horrible - it seems to me there must be more going on than dementia although I know it affects people differently.

Chef/owner at the restaurant tested positive for Covid19 yesterday. Restaurant closed for now but I'll be going in to process a doz lobsters and do a rapid test. Fun times.
I thought people
Could continue if they showed no symptoms

Sorry - I thought you mentioned dementia. Parkinson's is more treatable to an extent, if that is what it is. Anyway, have a safe journey and I hope things work out.

My dad's younger brother has Parkinson's. The treatment is very rigorous. My dad would have to move into assisted living, because he and my mom couldn't handle the rigid treatment schedule.
