Power’s been out since 1:30PM (knocked out by pop-up storm). Power company keeps waffling on when it’s coming back on. First it was 2:30PM, then 3:30PM, then 6PM, then 4:30PM, then 6PM, then 5:30PM, and now back to 6PM.

Number of people without power is going down, though, so that’s good.
Well that went the wrong way in a hurry. We started at about 3500 without power, it got down to about 1000, and now it’s up to 7000 and they’re saying 7PM at the earliest.

I don't know which is worse; being told varying information or, like us, being told nothing!

Although, if it's a scheduled outage (for repairs/upgrading) then we are informed and the information is very pessimistic so the Board looks good when the power returns 2 hours earlier than forecast.

As someone who works supplying equipment for the power distribution network, I love the ad hoc and massively dangerous overhead network of power and telecoms cables in Thailand.

I've received an email from NS&I (UK premium bonds). Apparently I've won something this month. (It's genuine...)

Now all I have to do is break into my own account again to find out what I've won. I don't have much invested, but it sure as anything right now beats interest rates.

Well, my leg is healing nicely. It ends up I three level two tears across three different calf muscles and several level one strains around the other muscles. Today they took off the splint (the tears were affecting my hamstrings, so they immobilized my knee and ankle) for good and my leg is blue, black, black, black, blue.

The worst part is I don't have some crazy story to go along with the injury. It's not like I was squatting 300kg when my calves gave out: I had severe leg craps that literally tore my leg apart (something the doctor said he's never seen before, so I guess that's something).

So what TV shows do ya'll recommend? I've burned through my DVD-recorder. 🤣

(Oh, and if you like sci-fi, I highly recommend The Oriville. Season 3 just started.)

madebyyouandi when I had Covid in January, in Doctor said to self isolate for 10 days - 2 weeks, until all my symptoms were gone and she highly recommended watching Yellowstone. WOW! She was so right, that series is awesome!!!!!!! I understand that they started filming for the next season this past month and should drop in November.

Thank you. I will put that in my video queue. :)

Surpassed the theory exam with 91 points of 100, grade 2 (B). I was really happy, yet only one point more and I would have gotten an 1 (A).
Hey that's funny to me, our system is the direct opposite and we're neighbours. Here 10 is the best, and 1 the worst. So when I got a 9.8 recently I was quite stoked, but you'd be miserable lol
