Hi everyone,
I just wanted to explain something to all members. There are terms that I may use and some of the words I spell that would first appear to be Italian and wrong for this confusion I apologise however, I am from Naples and we have a dialect that is different from Italian. Indeed the origins of Italian and Napulitano are different. Italian is descended from the classical Latin; Napulitano is one of the last Italo-Dalmation languages still spoken; in other words my dialect is descended from the original Italian spoken by the Etruscans not the Romans. UNESCO has also determined the Napulitano dialect is classed as a world heritage language. I am sorry if I cause any confusions and if I write anything that is not clear for any reason then please ask me!
All my children speak Napulitano, even my husband who is English I taught him! This is my heritage and where I come from, therefore I ask that you kindly afford me allowances for that, I appreciate at times I write as I speak; my husband says I speak like a machine gun!
If I offend or confuse then I am sorry, I will try better.
Grazie
