Although the coronavirus hasn't hit Thailand hard yet (according to reports one week ago only 41 cases and no deaths) arrivals at the main international airports are down by 50% from last year and almost 100 taxis have been repossessed in Chiang Mai after their drivers failed to pay the installments.

You are a weird duck and I love you. You are in my top 5 forum members that i would really like to meet.
Thank you very much! 🤗

As to being a "weird duck," that made me smile, because among my family growing up, I was always the (very) "weird" one, I never really fit in with the rest of my family, and my grandmom used to comment to my mother, looking at me and shaking her head, "That boy is one odd duck." :)

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to explain something to all members. There are terms that I may use and some of the words I spell that would first appear to be Italian and wrong for this confusion I apologise however, I am from Naples and we have a dialect that is different from Italian. Indeed the origins of Italian and Napulitano are different. Italian is descended from the classical Latin; Napulitano is one of the last Italo-Dalmation languages still spoken; in other words my dialect is descended from the original Italian spoken by the Etruscans not the Romans. UNESCO has also determined the Napulitano dialect is classed as a world heritage language. I am sorry if I cause any confusions and if I write anything that is not clear for any reason then please ask me!
All my children speak Napulitano, even my husband who is English I taught him! This is my heritage and where I come from, therefore I ask that you kindly afford me allowances for that, I appreciate at times I write as I speak; my husband says I speak like a machine gun!
If I offend or confuse then I am sorry, I will try better.

Grazie

It's 57F/14C, I've got the windows open for maybe the first time this year, little breeze blowing through, the house is clean, I'm clean (two showers and a bath today - I've used more than my fair share of water), and I'm sipping on a glass of iced mint tea, lightly sweetened, just waiting to head out to the airport in about 30 minutes to pick up MrsTasty.

I don't know why I don't make iced mint tea more often, it's really good. The ice seems to sharpen that minty bite.

"SINGAPORE/BANGKOK: Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group said on Monday its board approved a deal for its subsidiaries to buy up 86.9% of the Thai business of British retailer Tesco and 100% of the retailer's Malaysian business in a deal valued at US$10.6 billion (334 billion baht).

The Thai group said the transaction is subject to anti-trust approvals from Thai regulators.

Citing sources, Reuters reported on Sunday that CP was the frontrunner to buy Tesco's Thai and Malaysian assets in a potential deal that could be worth just over $10 billion."

Overnight we had strong wind and rain, now it is breezy and sunny. Weather can't seem to make it's mind up at the moment :scratchhead:
