No, your maths is quite correct, 0.0255. One of the really strange things is that the rate in India, given its population density, is only 1 death per 2M of population. That's more than 500 times less than ours.
A couple of things stand out. Firstly, I can't say I would trust Modi to tell the truth about anything and secondly, I fear that the rate will increase hugely. So many people live in confined spaces with few amenities. If we look at what is happening among immigrant workers in Singapore - which had seen better figures than most - it's hard to imagine that things won't get worse.

In Thailand, there were only 15 new cases reported yesterday and one death. a 50-year-old female housemaid who had diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity became the 49th fatality in the country. Only 14 provinces (out of 77) have reported new cases in the last seven days.

We have approximately 70,000,000 inhabitants in an area of around 720,000 sq km.

That is very odd. I wonder if its to do with how deaths are being reported. Similarly in Thailand.

Oh. It’s YOU again.

No new cases here in ACT for the last 3 days so testing had been extended too anyone who wants to be tested...

NSW has had 5 new cases yesterday. It's an area 100,000 hectares bigger than Texas.

Deaths (Australia as a whole) made it to 73 in total (21 are related directly to the Ruby Princess and 4 to a Aged Care Home where an employee (nurse of all people) continued to work despite having all the initial symptoms).

It seems that we are getting off lightly. 2 new cases today. Our pm is enjoying the limelight, it's election year. Biggest decision comin up is which takeaway?

I know she's very popular here. She's been on a few of the chat shows here (before all this crap started), and nowadays, she (and NZ by extension, obviously) get singled out as one of about three leaders who've handled this right.

We've also seen that effed-up cake one of your news personalities made of her! :headshake::ohmy:

She Is all tinsel and hugs and scarves. Even she said she had no idea about politics, said she needed 2 more years, but labour imploded, three leaders in 3 years then before mr no personality Andrews little dropped out, she was left by default, she worked in a fish n chip shop, her only experience in work. She's a UN product and that's her goal. All smoke screen, but she's fooled the gullible.
She will be gone by September. The cracks are everywhere, making it up as they go, mistake after mistake,

While I fully appreciate that I live on the other side of the world from New Zealand, I'd much rather have Ardern, who at least has the benefit of seeming to be a decent human being, than a macho posturer like Trump, Putin, Bolsonaro, Erdogan, Orban or Johnson.

I'm highly annoyed this morning. My workday starts at 9AM, so that I can specifically cover the office until 6PM.

More and more frequently, I'm being added to meetings that start at 8AM, and when I join these meetings online, my two other coworkers, who come in at 6AM and 8AM respectively, are also on, so there's no need for me to be on these meetings.

I think I'm going to make sure everyone gets invited to the several meetings that are held late afternoon/early evening that I attend solo. 😠

I am still around, just busy doing damage control at home . Concerns are raised by carers about my stepson, he may be schizophrenic. He'll soon be examined by a psychiatrist.

Husband and I are getting professional help too now, the strain of being fulltime caregivers to a very mentally ill individual is really much, more so in this time where going out for a break is barely possible.

So I am not able to post much at the moment, but I will keep coming. Love you all 😍

Hey - I know how tough it must be. I just hope you get the support you need.

Thanks for the update, Windigo - stay with it. You'll get through it. Being frank for a moment, the situation you describe is one of the reasons MrsTasty and I chose not to have children.

Post when you can, vent here when you need to. We're all thinking of you.
