I will not see 70 again.
I'm currently adjusting to the idea that I'll be 70 next year. Its the final milestone age that I think I'll be able to adjust to. However one puts it, the next milestone, 80, is simply old. Sorry to be so depressing...

Well, if I may say so publicly, you're going to make 70 look great. 70 will be lucky to have you. Just from your posts and pics, it's obvious you have a real "bon vivant" attitude with life, so don't worry about that number. Salute!I'm currently adjusting to the idea that I'll be 70 next year. I do not get my panties in a knot over hurricanes. G is another case - he gets cranked up. We have been in this house since '87 and have weathered numerous storms much worse than a Cat 1. I am not cavalier. G purchased fuel for the generator and batteries for flashlights.. We have stocked up on food basics. All of the propane tanks for the grill are full and we have plenty of charcoal for the Weber. I am making and bagging extra ice. I have numerous jugs of water. I will fill the tub with water to flush toilets. G is clearing the patio of potential projectiles. Rain will be an issue. Fortunately we are not in a flood zone. Our utility service is the best in the region. The utility service is conscientious about keeping trees trimmed around power lines. We have fewer power outages than other utility companies and the outages are short lived.Well folks, keep your eye on the tropics. ElizabethB has not one, but TWO potential hurricanes heading her way, and expected to arrive about the same time. They are expected as Cat 1 storms right now, but those can still drop a lot of water.
Stay in touch, EB!

Mother and Middle Sister are both on very high ground. Baby Sister's home is high but the paddocks at the horse farm has flooded twice. They are moving the horses to high ground.

Yes but I bet you enjoyed every minute of the "self abuse " like I did.I had doubts that I would reach 60 given the abuse that I have inflicted upon my body over the years!
