Me too.
I don't hit 60 until next June. The odds are still a little bit sketchy.
My theme song -- Dire Straits and Randy Quaid. Should about tell it all.

I do not get my panties in a knot over hurricanes. G is another case - he gets cranked up. We have been in this house since '87 and have weathered numerous storms much worse than a Cat 1. I am not cavalier. G purchased fuel for the generator and batteries for flashlights.. We have stocked up on food basics. All of the propane tanks for the grill are full and we have plenty of charcoal for the Weber. I am making and bagging extra ice. I have numerous jugs of water. I will fill the tub with water to flush toilets. G is clearing the patio of potential projectiles. Rain will be an issue. Fortunately we are not in a flood zone. Our utility service is the best in the region. The utility service is conscientious about keeping trees trimmed around power lines. We have fewer power outages than other utility companies and the outages are short lived.
Mother and Middle Sister are both on very high ground. Baby Sister's home is high but the paddocks at the horse farm has flooded twice. They are moving the horses to high ground.
We will be fine.
I will probably loose power and cell service for a while. I will keep in touch.
to all.
It's Sir Thomas Sean Connery's 90th birthday today.
Best know as James Bond, but my favorite work of his was in The Untouchables. Any fan of Sean Connery MUST se that movie.

I think I'd do the same facing Laura.
Russ
As of now, Laura seems manageable. My hometown of Port Arthur is under mandatory evacuation at 6AM. But everyone on the coast I have spoken with is not seeing this as being as bad as previous storms that hit them. The computer models look that way, too. That could change, but let's hope not.
