The General Chat Thread (2016-2022)

The Forth Rail Bridge, rather than road bridge, is the one in question (although there are now two road bridges virtually side by side these days). The myth - and it is a myth - is that as soon as painting finishes at one end of the bridge, it has to begin again at the other end.

These are the bridges, rail bridge on the far left, new road bridge on the far right.

Is it not time we had a new General chat thread, I've been trying to read the whole of this one but it's like the fourth bridge, I read 10 pages and find there are 11 new pages :hyper:

Blimey! No way should you try to read all of it.The top post tells you it was started in 2016. You can click on the latest page (currently 745).

A local (to me) forum to which I subscribe has one thread which currently sits at 833 pages with 16,649 posts. Coincidentally the thread is about food.

I'm afraid the only way to stop the thread growing would be to cut it off at the sauce source... :whistling:
But that would just mean you'd be playing catch up with a new thread... but I could rename it to the Forth road bridge... but not that many of us would understand so it may not resemble the Forth road bridge at all. :D but at last then you'd have red read it all. (Isn't it still blue though? )

Oops, it was just a thought.

Unfortunately in this neck of the woods all the easily available "beer" is lager (Singha, Chang, Archa, Leo, Heineken, Kloster, Federbrau). Everyone has their favourite which for me is Archa - because it's the cheapest. The swill is drank so cold that I defy anyone to tell the difference in taste,
