It is 21F in Pampa, TX (with an ice storm), and 92F in Harlingen, TX -- and there is a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. October in Texas -- never a dull moment.

It is 46F in Frisco, and we are getting the infamous "Dallas Drizzle. That is a light mist that is common around here in cooler months.

Update: It is now 36F (2C) in Frisco, with rain and a gusty North wind. Five days ago, it was 87F (30C) for the high, and 74F for the low.

When I lived in Malaysia it was 32°C virtually every day of the year and there was usually rain between 16:00 and 18:00.

Somewhat boring really.

It rains in Florida almost every day, too. Just for an hour, at the most, then it goes away. Then, the sun comes out, and it becomes a sauna. I hate working there. My work gets interrupted every afternoon, and I sweat like a pig, and my camera lenses fog up if I make the mistake of taking them indoors between cars, where they cool off.

We're expecting our first hard freeze this weekend. Overnight lows in the 20's.

Actually it doesn't, depends on the season. There are times when we go for days at a time to over a week without rain, sometimes even longer. Then, there is the rainy season where it's as CD described. It's still hot here, high of 88 today, low of 77. Supposed to have what's left of a cold front come through in a week or that will cool things off a bit, but then temps will come back up to mid to high 80s.

The weather must know when I'm going to be there to work.

My customer there is in Sarasota. Maybe there is a difference.

It was the same with us, whenever we'd visit MrsT's folks in Winter Haven. Always, everyday between 3PM and 4PM, it'd rain, then it'd stop, and then the steam would rise from the pavement. It always looked like one of those movie sets of an inhospitable alien world.

last night's comedy was cracking, sat outside in the cold froze me to the bone but soon got warm back at home.
Decided to try a hot chocolate baileys-never again, sweet hot chocolate, sweet baileys, a big squirt of cream on the top then chocolate sauce-sugar overload :yuck: I did not feel well.

That's a favorite of MrsT's...along with some peppermint schnapps added.

My skiing buddies and I used to keep plastic bottles of either peppermint or cinnamon schnapps in fanny packs, to warm up on the trip back to the top on the ski lifts. It gets really cold when you are sitting still 40-feet in the air in freezing weather.
