Come to Australia. It's warmer here, so I'm told....

no heating, Summer and a 4.5°C start to the day. .:cold:

Fingers crossed my tender veg on the veg plot have survived. (Tomorrow morning is actually due to be colder still.)

28 deg c yesterday, 26 predicted today, second day home waiting on the carpet guy to finish off upstairs, wardrobe ensuite and stairs. This guy my wife chose is really p$&$&@& me off. He's actually useless. First clue should have been he measured four times on four different occasions. One time he turned up with no tape!!

We're forecast 19°C today with a 7°C start.

We're forecast 25°C tomorrow after a 5°C start which going by today could actually be a 3°C start or lower). 27°C on Thursday but it's all over the place at the moment. Anything could happen. We were not forecast rain yesterday or even the chance of it, yet it rained last night. The weather is weird at the moment, compared to the last 4 summers were known (only ones we know for Australia). We're not used to this degree of unsettled, not for Australia at least. It's odd.

But it has meant that farmers have been able to grow hay this year for their stock. That's a first for this area for a long time. There are bales of hay everywhere at the moment and long grass all around. Harvesting has only just begun so the fire risk is massive right now. But it's a good thing to see. Livestock at least will have a better summer and winter. Autumn if it is 'normal' will mean that winter crops can be down so that livestock have fed other than just hay

Amazing weather the last few days. The southerly Yugo wind (50/60 mph) started on Friday bringing warm (18c ) and wet ( largest rainfall historically in 24 hours) yesterday the northern Bura wind fought back. Very sunny dry and cold (10c) in the morning then the sky went black and for 10 mins hailstones the size of cherries fell. Freaky or wot!

First Covid vaccinations started today. The second person to get the vaccine was a man called William Shakespeare :D

Ah - I didn't notice you posted that. I also posted it on the Coronavirus thread. I feel very lucky that I am in the UK and should get the vaccine some time early next year.

Mysteries of the universe, part 775:

Why is it that my very old and very cheap analogue watch keeps perfect time, but nothing that has a digital clock does?

Hmmmmmm, my computers, iPhone and iWatch keep perfect time. Perhaps your analog watch runs fast when it it time to work, and runs slow when it is time to drink beer.

Note to self -- great idea for a watch. :okay:

Here's a little something just for you, Duck.
