The Bura is in charge, cold at sea level but dry and sunny. So like before I can sunbathe on the balcony like before in my thermal vest and long johns. 09.00 this morning having coffee.

(long story...) I spent three years flying to Las Vegas Sunday night and home Friday night....

to get to / from my gate, I had to walk past the AirTran gate - fortunately there was a belt-walkway down the middle of the terminal 'aisle' because every single Sunday / Friday there were loud arguments and frequently fist-fights and/or cops hauling off the rowdy 'passengers' - the walkway provided a physical barrier and it was reasonably effective as the drunks couldn't manage to get over the rails....

AirTran was a cut-rate airline - they overbooked _always_ and there were always people very upset at not getting home.
that problem was actually worse arriving on Sunday nights.... people had to be at work Monday morning...
Fridays it was just the usual drunk-out-of-their-mind types.

Sin City has some quite unpleasant bits one has to learn to avoid.

It's been a bit chilly of late particularly overnight (a low of 15°C). But today it's 3 pm and hitting 33°C. Strange weather.

It is 36F right now. It never got above 39F today. That's well below average for the Dallas area for this time of year. It was rainy, with 20mph winds all day, too. Good nap day.

32F and light snow in Buffalo, NY, where the Steelers are playing the Bills. No big deal for either Team, as they both play in cold cities. Tough game, so far -- two of top four teams in the AFC.

This is one of those days that started very very bad. Just told that a dear friend of mine has passed last night.
Covid gave him the coupe de grace.
I’m lost in words. Heartbroken. Can’t believe this
So sorry for your loss. Much love and light for you in this time of pain
