Just got back from the doc. I won't get my blood work results for a few days, but the good thing is, the 15 lbs I lost from Aug-Nov have stayed off. I'm at 182lbs.
Also, my blood pressure was lower this time around. I take meds for HBP, and even with that, it's usually around 135/90. This time...128/85. Probably due, in part, to the weight loss.
My next goal with the weight is to get into the 170's. We'll see if I can do that by April 15th.
Also on the health front, it's a new year for employer-provided health insurance, and like a lot of places, they provide incentives for healthy behaviors. The biggest one is not charging me a tobacco-user's surcharge.
Other than that, though, we can track things and get points, and that equates to money in our health spending accounts. I can earn up to $800US, depending on the activities I complete.
Some are easy, like "Take A Tour Of The App," and just by completing a little five-minute tour, I get 10 points. Some are a little more involved, like walking a certain number of steps every day, or getting a yearly checkup done, and others are more involved still, like participating in a sponsored fitness event, or taking part in a telephonic health coaching event.
So far, I've earned $450, and I think I'll be able to get really close to the full $800 this year, as they've added several activities, due to the pandemic, that can be done from home.
