Want to know why I don't write shopping lists?

I wrote a long one today. Took a shower, got dressed, drove to the store -- and as usual, that's when I realized the shopping list was on the bar in my living room.

I'm the same way. That's why I love Kroger's app. I use their list feature.

I woke up with two new mosquito bites that I got while asleep in my bed.

About 30 years ago on my trip to the west coast ( hokitika) I always cut through a back road with little or no traffic, this is two hours into the trip, I stop at a water dam and have a leak, my willy was out about 20'to 30 secs, then I continued on my journey only to start scratching down below, yup bitten by a sand fly, they are legendary on the coast, the next day was almost intolerable.

today I have been dealing with a lady called Fawn, never come across that as a name before.

That would have been more common in the 1960s -- at least in the US.

As a funny side note, Fawn Liebowitz was an unseen, fictional character created for the 1978 movie National Lampoon's Animal House. In the movie, she was a 20-year-old sophomore at Emily Dickinson College, in nearby Wounded Deer, Massachusetts. A sociology major from Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was tragically killed in a kiln explosion, while firing a pot in the new kiln in Sylvia Plath Hall on campus.

I don't know how widespread the news coverage of the beachfront condominium collapse in Miami is, but the death toll is up to 16, and 147 people are still unaccounted for. It is extremely unlikely any more survivors will be found.

For those who haven't heard, a large section of a 12-story concrete condominium building suddenly collapsed for reasons unknown at this time. It was nighttime, so people were asleep inside. No foul play is suspected -- why the building collapsed is a mystery, for now.

It is a mind boggling and tragic situation.

Its all the news here in FL. I have never been so happy to NOT live in a high-rise condo.

High-rise living on the ocean has lost its appeal for me, too. But, when you think about it, anything built 100 feet from the ocean is bound to be high maintenance due to corrosion of building materials.

I bet there will be a lot of high rise condos up for sale, soon. I'm sure there are a good number of people in these high rises who are losing sleep -- especially the older buildings.

I live maybe 16 or 17 miles (as the crow flies) from the ocean, and I have seen corrosion in metal fixtures around my house's exterior. I have zero doubt that some of the steel structure in that collapsed building was rusting away. I do feel bad for those that lost their lives and for the families still waiting for confirmation.

When my grandparents moved to West Palm Beach to retire in the mid 70s, they took their 1972 Plymouth with them. Within two or three years, it had rust holes in it your could fit your fist through.

The natural environment there is very hard on metals.
