I guess I am sometimes lucky to live in suburban Texas. We do at least have sewer systems that take the somewhere else to be processed.

They have sewer systems in London that take the somewhere else. Apart from when they don’t.
You don’t really need to read past the headline to get the full horror of it.

I have been reading the instructions for the multi-cooker I bought back beginning 2020 when I thought the boys had left for uni for good and a smaller slow cooker would be better for Mr SSOAP and I.
Amazing to think with Covid lockdowns, working/studying from home and the rabbit hutch sized student accommodation sending them scuttling home every five mins that it is only now in 2023 starting to see action!
Anyway I didn’t realise it was designed with one particular person in mind…

Trousers, shoes and food. First stop was our local garden centre for breakfast then a look around at their festive department.
