The Good News Thread

Maybe it'll be bigger than ours!
I don't know, the vacant lot where they want to put this Aldi isn't that big... it's been vacant for more than 10 years, well most of Cowboyville has been vacant for longer than that :)

That honestly doesn't sound like a bad thing. There are lots of times I wish our city was less populated, but it's mostly noise pollution that bothers me.

My eldest brother and his wife just dropped in as they were passing nearby on their way back from holiday. I took them to the pub for coffee and a chat... it really cheered me up.
Yep…I never realized how much I’d miss my oldest brother when he moved…even though we didn’t see each other much when he lived in the area.

I always make a point to visit with him when he comes down to look in on our parents, and we always have a great time.

When I was on the intensive care ward for a week back in January I was receiving one to one nursing care with each of my own nurses working a 12 hour shift. Along with their job of monitoring and filling in charts they also keep a personal diary of my care and everything that happened to me whilst I was there including of course the milestones I ticked off.

I got a letter today from the senior ward nurse telling me that the diary was ready for me to collect if I wanted it. I am going to drop into ICU on Monday to pick it up.

What a lovely thing to do for each patient.
