Make sure when you reheat those beans you add *several* rashers of bacon. You're right - US beans are a whole lot sweeter. I've just discovered a supermarket in Caracas that stocks Bush's - so I just had to go and buy 3 tins!

The beans used in tinned beans in tomato sauce in the UK are navy beans. Tinned beans in tomato sauce as pictured above are really the only kind traditionally served with the full English.I love chorizo! There's a Market, Morelo's, that caters to Mexican fare and they have fresh made chorizo daily at their meat counter! Canned cannellini beans I've got too.
I've made chorizo before and that's really good but one person running a stuffer is a bit daunting at this point for me.
I've got lots of dried navy beans! I found this bean recipe that I'll start this evening and will pick up some chorizo tomorrow morning. They've got two colors of chorizo at Morelo's Market. A regular sausage color, I'm guessing plain, and a really reddish one, guessing spicy.
Thanks. I appreciate you have to make your own beans. The hash browns aren't historically traditional in the UK but plenty of people and cafes serve them. An import from the USA.Good points. I have to go with cooking the beans I have since getting a tin of beans when I've got 4 lbs. isn't economical right now. I'll have to make my hash browns too, I've too many potatoes.
Nice looking plate!
Definitely. According to Felicity Cloake (she of the "How to make the perfect xxx") they first appeared in the 1980s, thanks to McD 's breakfast. An import from the USA.
I know you said you travel a bit while working, if you ever go to Atlanta they have a few places that sell it.No way can get anything close to blood sausage! I've only ever had that when I make it.
Pound the hell out of that alligator tail. That's a tough piece of meat.Thank you, I'll add that to my alligator tail list!
