I couldn't be bothered with the chicken last evening so I did it this morning (it only needs a few hours marinating in the fridge anyway).

Washed and chopped all the veg and stuff this morning also.

38 degC here today (feels like 48) - not the best day for standing over a wok stir frying chicken and vegetables!
 
Deep fried egg in spicy batter with dill potato cake. I am so pleased with this (in principle) - and I love the way it looks. I made this for The CookingBites Cookalong: Deep Fried Eggs based on an entry from @Herbie: Egg Pakoras. BIG HINT - we need more participants please for the Cookalong. See here for more info about the dish.

I need to do more work on getting the batter lighter. This is one occasion when I've used a patterned plate in a food photo.

I'm going to enter the Amish milk bread and the croque monsieur sammie, just haven't gotten around to typing up yet. Plus, I have plans for a molecular gastronomy entry using coconut milk in a couple of ways.
