Would you mind sharing the recipe? This looks :chef:-worthy.

Karen is busy working on one of our daughter's Christmas presents right now. She said she will have to look at the recipe for that last batch, as she has made several improvements and wants to be sure to post the most recent version.

I turned your photo the right way up. That sounds delicious - providing I get a sous-vide for Xmas I'll be trying that. What is the green on top?
Thank you. I don't know why it does that sometimes. It was the right way up before I uploaded it.

Buttered leeks. Fingers crossed for a large box under your Christmas tree :)

@MypinchofItaly

This is an alternative for Radicchio ! Lovely ..

Have a wonderful weekend ..

On way to my parents house in Cadaques. We have a tiny apartment there and my in laws and married twin sons live there year round .. So, just about a half hour more to drive ( it is 2 hours north of Barcelona close to France´s border ) .. Shall be up here until the 28th ..

Then home and then repeat, for 30th - 1st .. Then we are leaving for Venezia Marco Polo Airport 11am direct from Barcelona ( 1 hour 20 minutes approx. ).

Shall check in when at hotel ..

It will be a present at my second Xmas I hope (first Xmas is here, 2nd Xmas is after that in Saffron Walden with my friend). I'm hoping for a compact one which retails around £100 inc. the vac pac. I can't see that I need a large one.

Thank you Dear .. Bought a new notebook just to write all down .. I will do a post on Venezia ..

We shall take a good working camera too ! Yes, I will tell you all about my adventures in Venezia and Veneto .. My husband speaks good Italian and I can read it fairly well, so we shall be able to get some recipes too !!!

Venezia is a playground, as most big cities are, so lots of Prosecco, wines and cocktails on a slow burner .. I really prefer good wines verses hard liquors .. I love Prosecco .. So, I shall be right at home !!! Our Verona native friend is an amazing Professional Photographer so he will be guiding us around some of the lesser popular touristic places .. and I had spoken to Giovanni so yes, he said, I can drive you there and we can do a lunch in the 2 towns mentioned .. They are not too far from Venezia (San Marcos ).

Buon Natale ..
Merry Christmas ..

Saturday ..

Lunch was a quick baguette ( half ) filled with tuna salad .. Simply hit the spot on a long drive up the northern Costa Brava .. ( 2 hours) ..

We all went to one of my daughter in laws for Crepes Suzette .. A very light dinner .. And a Cava, sparkling wine ..

Back again.

The Christmas food has started, mostly supplied by Tori & Ben's Farm. Tonight, a nice juicy Jacobs Lamb Barnsley Chop with a port and red wine sauce. Big chops are hard to make look pretty, but the taste was fantastic.

Looks great to me! :hungry:

Dinner out Thursday night. An Indian restaurant that we had not visited in a long time. I had Rogan Josh and G had a curried goat dish. Both were wonderful.

Last night we visited friends who live WAY out in the country. We visited a while before going out to eat. They like beer. We killed a bottle of wine. Dinner was at a place called the Crawfish Barn. Huge, very family oriented. You would never find it if you did not know where it is. A margarita each, oysters on the half shell, fried oysters and grilled shrimp.

No thought to what we will eat this evening. I would be fine with eggs or a peanut butter sandwich. I know G won't go for that.

Right up my street! I'm thinking Indian restaurants are a bit thin on the ground where you are? In the UK there will be quite a lot in a medium sized town and often in small towns and villages. Where I live in Maidstone, Kent there are at least 25! Even in Saffron Walden which is a picturesque small town (where I often stay) there are 5 or 6! We are curry mad in the UK...

I hate to think how many Indian restaurants and takeaways there are where I live, but apparently the most popular cuisines in the UK are now British and Italian  with Indian and Chinese topping the takeaway lists.
