In place of a Christmas cake. Baked, and created today. Eaten today. Coconut whipped cream for the dairy free option.

I'll post a photo of the main course when extracted off the old camera...
Spectacular! Please post a recipe, since this looks fascinating…and delicious!

Breakfast was bacon pancakes for me and the mutt, but only a mince pie for me for lunch. The mutt had chicken wings, and the cats had game in gravy.

Then it was cooking Christmas dinner for one!

I don't normally roast a bacon joint, but the supermarket substituted it for the tiny piece of bacon I ordered. It weighed more than the duck

So duck, bacon, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, carrots, parsnips, Brussels sprouts, bread sauce, sage and onion stuffing, and yorkie puds with lashings of proper gravy it was then. Followed by Christmas pudding and home-made custard.

That was a big plate too, takes a 13" pizza with ease or a 15" pizza with care :D

I shall be opening the bottle of Merlot in a minute :okay:

It looks grand! More Yorkshire puds (@Lullabelle made some too). I should have thought of that.

Actually I didn't make them! They were Tesco frozen ones which, according to the pack, are free from artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives. I was rather busy, not only cooking but guarding the fruits of my labour from Hungry Horace and the Wailing Banshees :roflmao:

I'm intrigued about bread sauce...What is it?
