Does anyone know where I could obtain an adult version of this?
How do you eat that? Does it all squish down to mouthsize?
I'm in Torino (Piemonte) for work until Wednesday and, for dinner tonight, "bagna cauda" dish is waiting for me...is a typical torinese dish where garlic is the King..and I think I'll brush my teeth for about three hours once in the hotel..
As far as I know there are two ways.
Sit in the bath and just go for it.
Or, as I do, attack it with a knife and fork.
Neither are a pretty sight, I can assure you.
Ah yes! I make that too sometimes. An excellent dip.
Do you know Bagna Cauda? That's interesting! There is an English dish similar to it? B.C. is a typical winter dish, but you can eat also in this season. I ate bagna cauda long time ago when I studied here in Torino...good but to eat very carefully ..and with a lot of water next to you. Cream, anchovies, garlic...Wow, hard work. Well ok, also vegetables but it's a little detail...
If it is any kind of a decent restaurant..... not to mention the general cleanliness of the toilets.
Ah, you've spoilt it now. It was definitely the anchovies in the Worcestershire sauce that has made me so ill these last couple of weeks - even though I only had less than half a teaspoon of it. For those who do not know, I inadvertently picked up the wrong bottle of sauce when I was cooking something. I quickly realised but not quite in time, and have spent the last couple of weeks with a swollen throat and mouth, and a colour about the same as a cooked lobster.I added some anchovies to your recipe .....
its one of our really old recipes. goes back so far we actually can't remember where we got it from. We now non-dairy-fy it... so almond milk for the milk component of the béchamel sauce and coconut oil cheddar style cheese for the cheddar component which worked really well.Cheddar?
I feel for you, I really do.Ah, you've spoilt it now. Just go for it, we are all friends here
