Last night dinner at Franco's Clacton-on-sea. Its an independent Italian restaurant and Franco loves seafood. It was very good.

First of my German meals.

This one is listed as Bouletten a la Mayer Mit Blindes Huhn (Beefsteak in the style of Mayer (that's the fried egg)) With Blind Hen.

The beefsteak is a meatball patty made with beef, pork, and veal. The blind hen is a mix of green beans, carrots, apples, onions, and bacon cooked in vinegar and sugar.

This was a truly wonderful meal. Simple to prepare, tasty, and comforting.
