What did you cook or eat today (August 2020)?

Have had a pretty ho-hum week & existing off cuppa soup or cheap take-away
Tonight I cooked up a one-pan bake: chicken thighs, escallots, garlic & tarragon. In a bowl put dried figs & port, than halfway through the cooking time added them to the baking tray.
Served over a bed of (microwave) ancient grains, green beans & pan juices spooned over.
Needs a squeeze of lemon juice as it's a bit sweet for my tastes but still delish
Note to self: check in here if I'm ho-hum again. Love seeing what others are doing
