Last nights dinner was salad.

Breskvice or little peaches. Normally they are only filled on one side, I made too much filling so we filled both sides. My version of the filling is. Boil and reduce milk and sugar by half , add ground walnuts, butter and the crumbs you scoop out. Mix to a paste. Then follow the pics.

We don't like fruit cake in this house so I usually make some kind of chocolate cake for Christmas. This year hubby put in a special request for a Yule Log:

Very nice!

That's on my list to bake one day. Keep in mind, cakes are a particularly devilish thing for me to do, so I'm either extremely confident or extremely crazy, but I'm going to make one one of these days.

Vegetable curry just made for scoffing tomorrow...cauliflower is the main ingredient, but plenty of other bits and pieces. We don't celebrate Christmas, but a curry on Christmas Day has become a tradition.
We were something similar but with a Thai dish , a laksa made vegan. But moving to Australia we found that it was simply too hot to be eating a (chilli) hot laksa when it was 38°C outside as it was the first year we were here. We've moved to salad and pavlova now. The Chickpea salad i make us made from scratch, cooking the Chickpeas in turmeric and loads of garlic which really adds to their taste. The salad is a very rich salad with a lot of extra virgin olive oil in it. We use a very good local one now. But it is so rich that it is something we don't eat often because of all that olive oil. I've just realised that we don't have bread made to mop up the extra oil.. something I'll have to add to tomorrow's jobs list in the kitchen!

Breakfast Bacon and Eggs with Robagusti Bread was for my Breakfast.

I am thinking of using some crumbled Robagusti Bread to make a Fish Cake for an Entree.

Yes, I bungled breaking the eggs and these are not sunny side up, as I intended.

I am definitely going to have to make more Robagusti Bread in the future.

Salmon fish cake with pilau rice.
