My wife retired (and she’s 8 years younger than I am!) and decided to celebrate with a trip to Belize. We were here only a few months ago, but this time we’re escaping cold temperatures of Michigan to enjoy the balmy Caribbean coastal temps. I will post other cool pics elsewhere, but here is some of the food we’ve enjoyed.

No pics - but some friends came over with A BAG FULL of cheeses brought in directly from France.
Comté, brie with REAL truffles, goat cheese with nettles...and a bottle of Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon.
I could quite happily live on cheese!
I usd to think the same and we would eat the same. bread & cheese featured a lot in our diet until 8 years ago. then the allergy kicked in big time. prior to that I had needed to use goats or sheep's milk and associated butter, cream and yoghurt but had usually been able to eat any cheese. then in the space of 6 months I couldn't anymore. the same had happened before we married so over 25 years ago, and in the space of 8 wks, I could no longer drink cows milk, eat cows butter, yoghurt or cream. both times we know what the trigger was, just not the why.

non-dairy cheeses still have a long way to catch up in variety sadly. but I have 3 or 4 decent home-made ones now.
