What did you cook or eat today (December 2021)?

I'm just steaming 3 kg rutabaga for traditional Finnish rutabaga casserole. The roots will be accompanied with double cream, ginger, allspice, eggs, nutmeg and syrup. The sweet casserole will be thawed for Christmas, baked for several hours in mild oven temp and served with ham.

we opted for salad for lunch...
(lettuce, spring onions, carrots & mayo, cucumber, tomatoes, sprouted chickpeas, peas & lentils, roasted cauliflower, roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar, avocado, courgettes, red pepper)


with air-fried tofu & Kecap manis on the side
