32°c. Not full on summer but finally SUMMER

Burrito bowls at the beach and that’s not water in that drink bottle. Had a beautiful swim as my entree. First of the season.

Sauerkraut mash with sambal & onion gravy, plus smoked sausage. That sambal gravy was a keeper!

Last Friday, my DIL came home with an apple pie someone had given her.
Extremely sweet and plastered in cinnamon. the crust was like microwaved cardboard.
so I made my version today, which at least had plaky pastry and tasted of apples:

Lunch today was mr9 with us again
, so a steak n cheese pie for him, a cheese roll for wife and I had a chicken and beetroot salad sammich.
Bakery bought, the girl at the counter said to eli as he walked to the counter, steak n cheese???
He is known there now,lol.

In Hawaii, it's expected to serve fish with Rice or if you have it Poi, but Poi has gotten very expensive
(not shown, we top our Rice with Shoyu aka Soy Sauce and Furikake, MMM!)
