Cajun fish-n-chips tonight. Catfish coated with a spicy cornmeal breading (not corn flour), deep fried, and served with some double fried french fries.

I cheated on the breading. I used Louisiana Cajun Fish Fry. It is easy, and it tastes great.

I love the Manly Ferry. I’ll often jump on at Circular Quay, go to Manly, walk the Corso to the beach, walk the beach then get an ice cream & go back on the ferry.

It was good day trip from where I grew up (between Parramatta & Bankstown) and we did it a couple of times a year when I was growing up and I’d take my kids & stay with my parents when mine were small & do the same. Do a city day (China town, Darling Harbour, art galleries, botanic gardens, bridge & opera house etc) and do Manly another day.

When we stayed in Sydney on our Honeymoon we rented a waterfront property at the head of Mosman Bay, we loved using the ferries, and had a great day out in Manly, taking the boat from Circular Quay, then eating sushi on the beach and having a long walk by the sea with an ice cream. I can't wait to go back.

What area of Sydney will you be staying in?
I had to look this are up. It's a vegan hotel "Ovolo Woolloomooloo"
(6 Cowper Wharf Roadway, Woolloomooloo NSW 2011)
hubby says next to the Navel base & the botanical gardens.
Means nothing to me because I've only ever been to the airport, either by road or by plane...
This will actually be my first visit and it's just 2 nights.

I made Mana'eesh which are Palestinian flatbread - or would be if I had za'atar. But we didn't have any so I subbed with dhukkah instead. And served with the same as last night.
