This was the last of the Great Leek-ening of 2021, or "Weeks of Leeks". I went a little overboard for the challenge and backup props, lol. But they all got used!!I'm going through a 'soup phase' right now. That could be next on the menu here.

I do understand what you mean by "leaf," I think. Fresh leeks are a bit "dirty" They require some effort. I think you made the right choice with the lighter cheese sauce. Milk and cheese is not an easy thing to cook together, it can break on you. Bravo!

Here in the US if it's yellow it's squash and if it's green it's a zucchini.Correct on all accounts, although I find myself saying zuces lately. We have a yellow one that is a massive producer.
