Your chips always look so yummy.!!

Russ

Many folks appear to dislike the uneven browning. Personally, I would prefer more even browning but I'm getting there. They tasted very good though.

Those chips were parboiled in salted water for 3 minutes, then left to cool before being put in a plastic bag with a few teaspoons of sunflower oil. Shaken around a few times then air fried for 4 x 5 minutes, shaken up each time.

I have bacon grease. Lol. I usually use butter! Note to self.!!

Russ
Did you look at the recipe? Actual bacon, onions, garlic, molasses or dark brown sugar, cayenne, bit of vinegar, and BEER. Only greens I'll eat. Same with Craig's brother, RIP.

How do you store them and for how long? Do you make a new batch of bread every time or is it leftover bread?
Same as medtran, I make them fresh whenever I need them - I just cut a couple of slices of bread up into cubes before I do anything else. It doesn't take long.

I also save bread ends in the freezer, either for croutons or breadcrumbs, made as needed, but I usually forget with croutons and use whatever loaf we're currently eating off of.
Weather doesn't look good near you, I was watching CNN earlier and thought of you and TastyReuben
Soup seems about right.

It's snowing out now, we're supposed to get four inches by morning, and then the temp is supposed to drop, so it won't melt.

I haven't had to shovel once all winter - tomorrow may be the day! :hyper:

I've been weighing up an air fry machine?? Your chips may sway me lmao.

Ok, the weather forecast earlier said overnight snow from 9PM to 7AM, with a total accumulation of about four inches.

I checked at 10:15PM, and we already have...three inches. I actually measured it. I definitely think I'm going to get to shovel tomorrow. Thank god it appears to be a light, fluffy snowfall.

We're getting all our winter in a two-week period. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My mate bought one a couple of weeks ago and he's been far more adventurous with it than I have. He already has a halogen over (as I do) but he raves about the air fryer.

I find that the greatest benefits over deep fat (oil) frying is the very small quantity of oil required, the avoidance of oil splatter around the hob and there's no need for disposal of the cooking oil.
