For dinner I prepared a stuffed veal brisket. it is a front cut in which a pocket is obtained and is stuffed with a filling consisting of egg, grated parmesan, chopped old bread, parsley, salt, pepper and nutmeg. then cooked like a normal roast, it is a typical dish of Parma

That sounds delicious!

Smoked some ribs yesterday over cherry wood chips. They came out very good. No nicely plated dish picture, I devoured these shortly after this initial picture lol

I only took French in high school, but 3 years. It was a very long time ago, though, and I never had much opportunity to use it.
You'd be surprised how it all comes back to you. Like I thought I had forgotten but in 98 we were in paris, I could read the menus and kind of knew what was on offer. I was really surprised how much recall I had.
Also i was in a restaurant not far from me and a German couple couldn't read the menu, i helped them out so they kinda knew what they were ordering.
Again, great recall

Yesterday was the wedding I flew up to Brisbane for. The food was mostly cocktail style. The venue was a funky Art Deco space with leather lounges and banquettes.

To start was cocktails. Pale pink with a cherry garnish. Not too sweet. And a self serve charcuterie board taking up the whole top of a large sideboard.

Next up was servers coming around with various things on toast points or on sticks.

Then a DIY burger bar. Buns slightly bigger than a slider but not a full sized burger. Well charred beef patty’s, couple of types of cheese, pickles, minced onion, sauces etc.

Free flowing wines & beers of course.

Lots of fun, my beautiful god daughter is not at all the conventional type & has found a lovely guy that shares her sense of humour.

You already know I have a very good memory. So yeah, you are probably right. I could probably find a bathroom or a restaurant and figure out what to order from the menu, but as far as any "real" conversation goes, not so sure, LOL. When I was in college I dated a guy from France. No offense to anyone of French ancestry or who lives there (or has family there), but he was one of the most arrogant and condescending people I have ever met. We broke up because I constantly beat him in chess and he just couldn't take it when he figured out I was smarter than he was. So much for his rich daddy's money, sending him off to America to prove what a smart and worldly guy he was!

Finished with spinach-and-cheese ravioli (supermarket), along with some of my homemade sauce, a little garlic-breadcrumb topping, and a bit more cheese.

That's what we are having tomorrow night! It looks like your ravioli are fresh? Mine are frozen and are cheese only. And I think they are round. I like yours better, gorgeous!

Nothing you say or do surprises me.
