What did you cook or eat today (February 2022)

Well back on topic. I have a crockpot (slowcooker) with sauce going that I added meat to earlier in the day. I just shut it off and will cool it down and put it in the refrigerator because tonight we are actually having soup and sandwiches for dinner. Tomorrow night we are having lamb stew, and on Wednesday I will add fresh herbs to the pasta sauce and we will have ravioli. This is the first time I have planned out three dinners in a row in a very long time.

I have a thick, bone in pork loin chop marinading right now, to be sous vide and seared. Yes, not the best cut for pork and sauerkraut. They can dry out if you are not careful.

I had these going in the slow cooker, and remembering that I dried a loin roast completely out a couple of weeks ago, I checked the chops about halfway through and they were already done, so they weren’t too bad, but there just isn’t enough fat to render out and make a good broth.

Not really sure how you interpreted my post about kilos into litres?

Maybe he was responding to my post in the wrong place. Are Canadian gallons AKA Imperial gallons, or is that something else entirely?

Do people tip in New Zealand? In the US servers work for tips and make very low wage otherwise. I know in some countries wait staff make good money and tipping isn't the norm. In the US its customary to tip 20% of the bill.
No tipping here but I tip for good service. Have done for 20 years. I've visited a few countries.
